The Philippines has a high rate of vulnerability to natural hazards because of the country’s geographical location in the Southeast Asia. Natural hazards such as typhoons, landslides, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes are the major calamities that generate disruption to the country. Along with, prevalence and severity of such adversities are also caused by the reality of climate change wherein major livelihood activities in the Philippines are greatly affected.
Ridge to Reef is capable of conducting an Engineering Geology and Geohazard Assessments (EGGA) through using different methods in order describe the geology of the proposed project site as it relates to the suitability of the area to the planned land development. These includes preliminary literature research prior to field scoping, interpretation of available remotely-sensed data including available aerial photographs, satellite imagery and topographic map, and actual field inspections.
